Cosmelan Md

Mesoestetic legendary formation, originating from Spain, is a top choice dermatologist use for the safe, effective reduction of all deep pigment concerns.  Safe on all skin types.  Available in two custom formulations upon request. Here at aesthetic artistry we have helped over 250 people overcome skin discolorations.  The depigmentation agent in Cosmelan (both formulations) acts by decreasing melanin from the skin. Melanin is responsible for the darkening of the skin and contributing to melasma more commonly known as “pregnancy mask”, sunspots, dark spots, liver spots, hyperpigmentation, surgical scars, acne scars to name a few.  Our trained aestheticians at aesthetic artistry have been able to assist clients in achieving even skin tone.  Real Self.com “Cosmelan brought my self-esteem up, no more having to cover dark patches under make up, it was a life saver I highly recommend it.”-Ommanu

Cosmelan has the ability to inhibit an enzyme called tyrosinase that is involved in the process of causing skin darkening on all levels. Cosmelan leads to a decrease in melanin synthesis and hence to a decrease in darkened skin color.  Studies have shown that Cosmelan can effectively reduce skin discolorations by up to 90% if used appropriately.

There are two types of Cosmelan, both involve the same steps just different active ingredients to achieve the lightening effects. Cosmelan treatments vary from non-compounded to compounded prescription topical chemical peels. Cosmelan Md contains stronger active ingredients that result a stronger peel effect.  Both formulations utilize acids such as kojic acid, azelaic acid, arbutine, phytic acid and ascorbic acid (Vit. C).

Cosmelan is most often applied to the face, but can also be used on other parts of the body. It is applied in a topical cream form in office, followed by a post-peel home care regime. Safe and effective on all skin ethnicities with stubborn pigment from all regions of the world.

Cosmelan is an excellent non-invasive choice for evening out skin tone.
